THE GOAL

Education has long served as a great leveler of opportunity. Good education increases knowledge, sparks innovation, build skills that drive growth and prosperity, and fosters inclusive societies. In Indonesia, more than 50 percent of the total 80 million children are living on less than $2 per day. Due to this circumstance, limited access to education is still a problem for children in the country.

OUR PLAN

Together with Astragraphia and Fuji Xerox, advo Indonesia conducted “Workbook” program by producing and distributing workbooks as learning materials for children in remote areas in Indonesia through the help of our NGO partner, SOS Children’s Village. Starting in 2017 until 2019, total 10.000 books will be distributed to children in Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Aceh, Maumere, Semarang, Jogja, and Bali.

THE OUTCOME

The kick-off event of this program held in March 2017 has successfully earned media attention to help meet community educational needs. In the first quarter of 2017, 3.500 books were produced and distributed to Meulaboh, Medan, and Maumere.
